5 tutorials to make up in carnival
Carnival is over for another year and most of us are no longer game to go out dressed up in costumes any more (although yesterday I saw a girl disguised as Pikachu in the city centre!).
Even so, as you know, I am a beauty YouTuber and I watch dozens of videos of all kinds because I’m not only a beauty addict, but a professional make-up artist as well. And although I have never tried to do creative make-up and face-painting like these, I love checking out the skills and imagination of my colleagues.
So, I want to share with you what I think are the 5 best creative make-up tutorials in Spanish, with a medium difficulty level let’s say. You can use these techniques any time, not only at carnival, but also at parties or just for fun with your friends or the little ones at home.
There are some spectacular tutorials that have come out of the make-up contests that famous American make-up brands hold every year. One that particularly stands out to me is by Jimena, which is inspired by the film “Pan’s Labyrinth”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK8dxAZO1kQ&t=86s
Cristina is an incredible make-up artist and this leopard make-up is really spectacular. I could show you so many more of her make-up videos, but they are more complex. This one is a bit more straight-forward and uses materials which anyone can find. What’s most important though is patience when doing the spots: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w27OZewn0Lw
And for the little ones, in a single video Silvia Quiros shows us several fun face-painting ideas for children. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDEZ86gJMKw
