Before the start of the New Year, we always make a little list of resolutions we want to keep and for one reason or another we never manage to keep them. Well, this year, we’re proposing something a little different; making a list of things you want to do before this year ends.
Starting the list now and planning the things you’d really like to do in a short period of time will allow you to tick off everything you’ve listed. The month of December is ideal for making plans, travelling and having a great time with friends and family. It’s also a month in which you can take holidays, as Christmas and New Year give us some free days to head off and enjoy lots of activities.
Today we’re going to propose 4 plans for this Christmas. Are you in?
Light show in Amsterdam
If you like the idea of visiting Amsterdam at Christmas, you can’t miss this free event which takes place in Dam Square at 7pm. A magical theatrical show which will leave you speechless. It involves switching on the lights of the facade of the majestic Bijenkorf building, where thousands of LED lights are the stars of this brilliant show, which is well worth a visit. Facing the building, you can also see a huge lit Christmas tree, making Dam Square an unmissable tourist attraction at this time of year.
Santa’s Enchanted Forest in Miami
Would you like to visit the world’s largest Christmas-themed amusement park? You’ll have to travel to Miami, a city which really takes the Christmas holidays seriously. All the attractions and activities which take place in Tropical Park will blow you away. An amazing way to enjoy the holidays with your little ones.
A Christmas market in Florence
What would Christmas be without Christmas markets? A market you can’t leave off your list is the traditional Weihnachtsmarkt. It takes place in Santa Croce square in front of the big cathedral. There you’ll find over fifty wooden huts with red and white awnings in which artisans from Italy, Spain and other countries sell their gastronomic and artisanal products. You won’t be able to get enough of the typical German foods Sauerkraut, Pretzels or Stollen, accompanied by some mulled wine.
San Silvestre race in Salamanca
If you’re sporty and you love travelling through Spain at Christmas time, this will be your best option. It’s the most popular race in the city and takes place on the last Sunday of the year. It’s undoubtedly a very fun activity in which you can see Santa hats everywhere and of course, you don’t need to be a great sportsperson; the important thing is to have a good time. All you need to do is register on the website and get a good pair of running shoes.
What did you think of our end-of-year resolutions? Now it’s time for you to start your list! Will you tell us all about it?
