Fall is finally here! That time of year that always comes with positive changes: a season for trying new things, getting together with friends you made over the summer, and our personal favorite, the reason we love autumn: switching out your summer clothes for your fall ones. We also know that this can sometimes be a tough transition and that you need to spend some quality time making your plans for the season; this post is the perfect place to start to make sure you check off everything on your autumn to-do list.
Travel as much as possible: Don’t worry: even if the days are shorter there’s no better time of year to enjoy stunning sunsets, snap a pic with your smartphone and post it on Instagram with a quote you’ve had in mind ever since you boarded the plane. Travel brings out the best in us, so leave all your worries behind as you stroll to the Piazzale Michelangelo for the best panoramic views in Florence or have a picnic in Vondelpark Park in Amsterdam. You won’t be disappointed.
Hunt through vintage flea markets: Like we said, the best thing about fall is that it goes hand in hand with updating your closet, but not with just any clothes: you want to be on trend and original. Start at the “Fiera di Sinigaglia” market in Milan and lose yourself in this street market that ends in Porta Genova. And if antiques are your thing, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is the place for you. But our favorite is the flea market on 39th and 9th in New York, because there’s no better place to go shopping than the Big Apple!
Take a hot air balloon ride: Getting a bird’s-eye view of the bright colors of autumn is certainly one of the most exciting and fun ways to enjoy the season. Hot air balloon rides to get a panoramic look at the autumn landscape make the perfect day trip from Barcelona and Madrid.
Hello, nature: It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a packed schedule: getting outside is a fall activity that you simply can’t miss, and a photo featuring nature’s color palette is guaranteed to get the most likes on social media this season. Still not convinced? Include Tuscany on your next trip and enjoy the explosion of colors of the Chianti Valley in fall. And you can’t forget Granada, where the magical landscape of the region’s Sierra Nevada’s mountains will be a sight you won’t soon forget.
No excuses! You’ve got the inside scoop on the best things to do this fall, but don’t hesitate to come visit us to make this a season you’ll never forget.
