Jaime Beriestain, a prestigious interior decorator, has created an exciting design and architecture centered on fine materials and described by him as “sophisticated and warm, without excessive decor”.

Terrace and Pool
Gerard´s terrace is the new viewpoint of the Eixample of Barcelona. You will be able to see Barcelona from a new perspective that you did not know before. It is open from Monday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. You can use our lovely pool and lie down to sunbathe in the hammocks while you enjoy one of the refreshing drinks from our honesty bar. This is our small oasis in the city. The pool is waiting for you this summer from the 1st of June until the 30th of September.
Gym
Stay in shape even after you've worked out. From 7am till 11pm we have a post-workout service with towels, bottles of water and fruit. Everything is available to you, including running machines, dumbbells, cross trainers, exercise bikes and abs benches.

HOW TO ARRIVE TO ROOM MATE GERARD
BY CAR:
If you come by car to Room Mate Gerard, just put our address “Carrer de Ausiàs Marc, 34, 08010, Barcelona, Spain” in your GPS or, if you prefer, do not hesitate to call us at (+34) 931828031 and we will be happy to provide you with the best directions.
FROM THE TRAIN STATION:
If you arrive by train at Barcelona-Sants Station, we recommend taking the commuter train. From the station, go to the suburban train stop at Sants Estació (R1 or R4).
Take the R1 towards Macanet-Massanes. Stay on the train until you reach Arco del Triunfo station. You can walk to Room Mate Gerard Hotel, located at Carrer de Ausiàs Marc, 34.
Another option is to take the R4 towards Terrasa Estació del Nord. Stay on the train until you reach Arco del Triunfo station. From there, you can walk to the Room Mate Gerard Hotel, located at Carrer de Ausiàs Marc, 34.
FROM ANY OTHER PART OF THE CITY:
By Metro: If you are in any other part of the city and wish to reach the hotel by metro, consult the Barcelona metro map and go to the nearest metro station. Then, take Line 2 (Purple Line) or Line 1 (Red Line) and get off at Tetuán or Urquinaona station respectively. You can walk to the Room Mate Gerard Hotel at Carrer de Ausias Marc, 34.
FROM THE AIRPOR:
By cab:The easiest option is to take a cab from Barcelona airport. Simply tell the cab driver our address, Carrer de Ausiàs Marc, 34, and you will arrive directly at the hotel.
The fare will vary depending on which terminal you are in.
By metro: From the airport, take Line 9 (Orange Line) to Torrassa station. There, change to Line 1 (Red Line) towards Fondo and get off at Urquinaona station. From Urquinaona station, you can reach the Room Mate Gerard Hotel at Carrer de Ausias Marc, 34 on foot.
AEROBUS: 5,90€/person one way - 30 minutes to Plaza Cataluña. This airport shuttle is very convenient as the departure is every 10 minutes from the airport and the final stop "Plaza Cataluña" is only 600 metres from the hotel. We’re right in the heart of Barcelona, next to Plaça Catalunya and the city’s historic Gothic quarter. Truth be told, it’s particularly charming because it houses a number of gems such as the Palau de la Música (a symbol of modernism), ancient medieval buildings, countless restaurants that serve Mediterranean cuisine, and artisanal shops. There’s so much to do in this city!
Don’t worry, I’ve thought of everything to make sure that your trip is PERFECT! I’ve prepared a room that will sweep you off your feet so you can rest and enjoy the city. All of my experience and knowledge are present in the design, fine materials, comfort, and lighting, and a pleasant surprise awaits on the rooftop: a pool for relaxing at the end of the day with a delicious cocktail in hand.
